Reflections: dream-weaving into 2026

There is a quiet in me. And a stirring. And I want to keep my words simple.

This year was the worst and best year of my life, rolled into one. I swallowed the deepest darkness I have known and transmuted it into the brightest light. And so I have learned that alchemy is real; I have described myself as an alchemist for a long time in my Instagram bio, and only now have I tasted the arc what that means.

As I have begun to sit with more clients in the intimate space that is hope — hope that we don’t have to sit in the darkness, in the unknown, forever; hope for a life that we truly love; hope for a world of humans that know how to treat each other with kindness — I have realized this: we are all on our own hero and heroine’s journey. We are all dancing with darkness and light, hoping to find the peace that comes when we learn not to attach to either one.

Someone asked me recently what my darkest day was this past year, and I remembered. I remembered a day when I felt so low I could not imagine ever feeling joy again. I remembered feeling kicked when I was down, deemed guilty by others and — worst of all — by myself. I was hung on the hooks of the underworld, like Inanna, and left for dead (read a gorgeous summary of Inanna’s mythic underworld descent here). But six months later, on my self-led path to resurrection, I encountered the most joy I had ever felt, surrounded by the kind of community I wasn’t sure, until that moment, really existed. I have laughed more and harder this year than I ever have in my adult like. I have danced more, too.

I have charted a course in the stars I know how to hold for others, now. My truest work has begun. In the desert almost six years ago I received a spirit name: Dream Weaver. It is time for me to step into that sacred role.

If you too feel called to reflect, journal this —

What has the myth of my life been this year? What is the arc of my hero’s journey — where am I, in this moment, on the spiral of it?

What was my lowest low this year? What was my highest high?

And what is the thing I am not sure exists yet but that I have the audacity to hope for, to cast a dream about?

We are all the weavers of our own dreams — so weave the dream, dream-weavers. This is how we create a new world. I’m with you.
