SACRED RECIPROCITY
My Approach to Pricing
It is important to me that my work is accessible to those who genuinely feel called to it. I reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spaces for people who do not currently have the resources to pay my full fee. You are welcome to bring this up during our introductory call; if no sliding-scale spots are available at that time, I’m happy to add you to the waitlist.
Sacred Reciprocity
A foundational principle that informs my relationship to money and care is the concept of sacred reciprocity — the understanding that life moves toward balance when there is an honest and respectful exchange of energy.
In this context, I hold my offerings as being in reciprocity when they fairly compensate the time, presence, training, and care I bring to my work, while also honoring that people hold vastly different levels of access and resourcing. My pricing reflects a commitment to both sustainability and fairness.
Accessibility and Lived Experience
I have personally been in the position of needing to ask for sliding scale in order to receive the care that I needed. I hold deep respect for those walking creative, entrepreneurial, and visionary paths, as well as for those who — due to systemic and socioeconomic inequities — are having to unfairly play economic catch-up in our world.
I approach sliding scale not as charity, but as a relational and values-based practice rooted in dignity and mutual respect.
Money as Part of the Work
Money is a topic I have studied and done meaningful personal work around. When appropriate, I may gently invite conscious conversation about money, worth, and receiving into our work together. These themes often live in the body alongside safety, trust, and self-value, and bringing awareness to them can be both a supportive part of the healing process and a necessity to surviving and thriving in the society we inhabit.
A Gentle Boundary
Before requesting a sliding-scale rate, I ask that you take a moment to check in with yourself about whether you truly cannot afford my standard fee, or whether some hesitation, fear, or discomfort is present around paying it.
As a self-employed practitioner, I am responsible for my own healthcare, time off, and financial stability. My rates are set to support sustainability and a sense of safety in my own body — so that I can support you in feeling safe in yours, which is a foundational part of this work.
